Cerebrolysin is a standardized mixture of low-molecular-weight biologically active neuropeptides and amino acid fragments derived from purified pig brain proteins via enzymatic digestion. Developed in Europe in the 1950s, it has been used clinically in Europe and Asia for neurological conditions including Alzheimer's disease, stroke recovery, and traumatic brain injury.
